The standardized examination is an examination organized according to systematic scientific procedures, with unified standards and strict control of errors. The examination needs to achieve the standardization of question preparation, the standardization of examination implementation, the standardization of marking and the standardization of score conversion.
Although standardized test questions have some advantages. For example, People can use the computer to read the papers, which can not only greatly improve the reading speed, but also can put an end to human factors caused by intentional or unintentional errors, to ensure the fairness and quality of marking; Also, it is conducive to the construction of the test bank. The organization form that standardization exam questions compile can be the open type, dispersive, regular. This can ensure the relative stability of the quality of each test question. However, their inherent disadvantages are difficult to overcome. The standard test focuses solely on the result of the answer, without asking why, and focuses entirely on the ability to recognize information without considering the ability to derive it. Students only need to choose "right" and "wrong" when answering questions, without reasoning or explanation, so they cannot show the creativity and verbal expression ability of the respondents. This kind of examination is not conducive to training students' divergent thinking and divergent thinking. The more objective test questions are, the farther they are from the original intention of cultivating students' creative spirit. As an international student, be a global citizen scholar and develop philanthropy is my goal. The resource of my happiness is getting along with people and helping people. Therefore, I want to do my best to develop more skills at my studying age, which can help me to achieve my goal. I believe honor program is the best platform for me to learn and develop various skills global citizen scholars need. This is an important reason why I want to join this organization. Also, the competencies of our honor program also are my competencies. For community engagement, I often participate in volunteer activities on the weekend after I came to Cincinnati. Recently, I attend the National Philanthropy Luncheon in Cincinnati Music Hall. Also, the most meaningful volunteer activity recently for me is sharing and teaching my country's culture with local elementary school students in Blue Ash library. I really enjoy engaging the local community and studying local culture. For the Global study, there are more opportunities for me- an international student to make friends with other people come from different counties and get along with them in the US. We always learn about different cultures from each other. At the same time, I join in a club called ICAT in UC, which is more like a bridge to connect international students and American students, students who come from different countries will share their own culture every week. Therefore, I learned a lot of knowledge about Global Studies. In addition, I am interested in leadership studies, there is a speech about leadership I participation in. The speaker is a finance manager who works for P&G twenty years. The most important I learn from the speech is how to build your own leadership system. These experiences encourage me to achieve being a global citizen scholar this goal.
The resource of my life passion is come from helping people. Therefore, my biggest interest is helping people. I know there are some people may say that does not look like an interest because everyone can help people. It is no exaggeration to say I will devote my life to philanthropy and help people because it means a lot to me. I am not good at math and science, also I am not interested in liberal arts. So I feel perplexed for my future before I go to college, even don't know what's major should I study. However, last summer, I get a chance to support education in some poor villages in China. These poor children get up 5 am. and walk for two hours on the mountain road to school. Although they accept education in extremely difficult circumstances, they still look forward to studying and studying hard. During the time, I share my life as a child growing up in the big city, teach them some basic English and play the game with them. I feel really happy when I saw the bright smiles on every child's face. I will say that experience is my life turning point because I found I can bring real happiness to others by helping them. These activities have made me more confident and have fully reflected my value in life. Actually, I have some other interests like climbing, hiking and traveling. I like climbing and mountain and hiking because I can train a spirit "Don't give up" when I climb the mountain. Another word is I enjoy challenges. Everyone will meet a lot of difficulties in life, the reason why there are some people get success easily, other people still mediocre because they lack perseverance. Therefore, I keep training my perseverance. When people make "Never give up" become a behavioral habit, success is not far away. I believe habit determines destiny. Some people believe character determines destiny. I disagree because the character of each person is similar, but the habit of each people is totally different, people's habits that separate them. Therefore, more good behavior habits，easier gain success. In my life planning, I would like to develop my interests to become my career planning. The reason why I am studying business because I want to create an international non-profit organization or charitable organization to help people need help in the future. I know there are many challenges in this way, but I am not afraid because I love this job, this is my interest. Also, I will develop my social skills and leadership skills by doing my best to participate in more activities and applying for some internships in my college age so that I can gain some experiences, exercises and various resources. Wealth is not what I really show my power and capabilities, helping people can fully reflect my own life value, and this is what I pursue in life.
